After becoming the Olympic champion in men's figure skating at Sochi, the rest of Yuzuru Hanyu's 2014 was a bit chaotic. I won't go into it all here, but it was scary bad. He has more than made up for it in 2015. Two weeks ago at the NKH Trophy he smashed the existing scoring records for short program, free skate, and overall competition, and not by a little, by a lot. This past weekend he went to the Grand Prix finales in Barcelona and broke two of those records. Not a bad way to celebrate his 21st birthday.
